LATEST NEWS A new term is starting at The Secret Retreat on Monday September 8th, with an exciting range of classes and workshops. Get in shape for Christmas with pilates, yoga, body shaping or de-stress with a Tai Chi class. It will soon be time to slip into that little black dress, why not try our 7 week Body Shaping Programme with Ann Goodsell. Ann has been working with women for over 20 years – she trained Sally Gunnell for the 1992 Olympics. This course of exercises builds up your core strength, improving posture, pelvic floor and flattening that tummy. This clever sequence is a balanced blend of exercises and skilful coaching. It stretches and strengthens mind and body. We are offering two classes for the price of one until the end of October – so bring along a friend and enjoy the benefits together. For those of you looking for a more Mindful approach to exercise why not try our Yoga Course with Thomas Petit. Mindful Yoga re-unites yoga with meditation, although containing postures and working the body, it is primarily concerned with concentration, containment and introspection “meditation with movement to make space within.” We also run regular Meditation Workshops with Birgitta Bernhard, where you can soothe your spirit, re-align Chakras and receive healing. These are half day workshops, including herbal teas, fruit and biscuits. For all of you lovely ladies expecting a baby, enjoy Pregnancy Yoga with Ingrid Lewis, these classes are very popular so book early to avoid disappointment. Ingrid also runs Mother and Baby Classes, a great way for you to relax and bond with your baby, as well as socialise with other mums.
